Title: Now thats what you call a modem!
Post by: Andy on January 25, 2010, 04:25:27 PM
(Its not really a modem - but close enough!) Its a K&N Acoustic Coupler. According to the date codes on the ICs, it could have been made in 1974. Cost me £3 at a car boot.

I'm well jealous! Ever since watching Matthew Broderick in the movie "Wargames" I've wanted to own an acoustic coupler!

The Atari 830 is the actual modem I've always longed to own! http://www.atarimuseum.com/computers/8bits/400800/830/830.html

The search continues... :-)
