I can't find my MAME  :(

It must have been on my external HDD when it failed few months ago!!!

Oh Well. Time to download all the legal roms for the games I own!!

I played Out Run, TMNT.

I have about 50-55Gigs worth of it sat on a spare PC.  When I can be bothered, I'll go an update it via the newsgroups but there's always one file in one .ZIP which seems to knock out the availability of 20+ games all because they require that one file ...

I remember when I used to be able to hand out a copy of MAME on 8 x 1.44Mb floppy disks - them were the days.

I've got literally every ROM going, covered over 4 DVDs. Worked out that I would have to play 2 a day for many years to play them all! Something like that!!

Umbrellas are bad! They just mean you skip levels where you could be racking up loads more points... ;)

Anyone played the WiiWare Bubble Bobble yet? It's damn hard!  :o

I'll see if I can get the Simpsons Arcade game from 1991/2. It was a scrolling beat-em-up, and could be played by up to 4 people at the same time if I remember correctly.

I'm a huge Mame fan and one day i'll get my cab conversion finished.

For me, Mame allows you to discover great games you've never played before at the arcade hall.

For example, for me

Vendetta/Crime Fighters2....a cracking beat-em-up

Jimbob is building a mini arcade cab for RCM - see thread elsewhere on here!
It is looking very good and should hopefully be finished in time for our event at the end of May.
I agree with you though stiggy2009, lets you play games that you previously hadn't played! ;)

DonPachi
DoDonPachi
Dangun Feveron
Darius Series
Gradius Series (some will not play)
R-Type Series
Gun Bird
Gun Bird 2
Giga Wing
Mars Matrix
1942
1943
1945
19XX

Bubble bobble is a game that myself and PhoenixTLB have played for years - Amiga version . . . the cries of quick quick an umbrella - this along with midnight resistance and rainbow islands - the laughs we used to have (and still do of course!).

We were playing midnight resistance one sunday afternoon and i suddenly get killed and my keys fly sodding everywhere . . . my cry of "F!@K ME! where are my keys?" reverberated throughout the house! It has stayed with us ever since! Good Days!

;)
