Chewed the fat with various people
Played some cool games
Got some cool donations

Bad:
I didn't get any "work" done

Good:

The MK808 showed a few people what's possible.  And kicked the Raspberry Pi into touch :) Updated the thread about it with places to buy it from.  It's dropping in price too!

Showed Sophie the UltraSatan.  Pity it just wouldn't work with the Protar h/drive simultaneously due to driver issues (i.e. I was running one, the Protar had its own).

The ZX81 stuff looked (and sounded!) excellent.

More cr@p from my shelves has been emptied ... donated to RCM (and Sophie) :)

Bad:

No signal from coming off the M42.  Ended up having to use Apple Maps to get to Heather - surprised we didn't end up in a different country having to rely on that :)

Thought it was excellent.
The ZX81 stuff was once again mind blowing. Seriously, there can't be much left that Andy and Charlie can do to that poor machine.

The atmosphere was very good and that's down the the people.

What I did enjoy a lot was the Dreamcast battle on the big screen (even though I didn't take part)

Only 1 negative for me and thats when I played Burnin Rubber on that Amstrad thing. A piece of my soul actually died afterwards.

A big pat on the back to all involved

It does that :D

Good:

Great atmosphere
got to try out Mikes Ultrasatan ( cheers for that Mike )  :)
Picked up some 5.25" Atari goodness (Cheers for that too Mike ) :)
Got thrashed at Soul Calibur by the Stigmaster

No bad for me

I had both the 464 and 6128 as a kid and the Dragon 32 before them - I had no soul left, they sucked me dry. Redemption was found via various models of Amiga.

A damn fine weekend with tons of ups and not a single down...apart from it having to end.

I think I'm sold on getting a Zxpand, thing is flippin awesome.

Thanks also for bringing the mega STE pizza box Soph, fun bit of kit. Also thanks for the two other toys.

Big thanks to the boss,Phu and JT for the toys and helping me out with my StigMiggy.

The buffet was a great idea, hope you do it again.

Thanks Mike for the Mk808 demo, great stuff.

Thanks Jim for being Jim. You on GTA3 was the highlight of the whole weekend.

Soul Caliber, what can I say :)

Thanks y'all for making it a great weekend. Here's to the next.

GOOD

Playing Robotron 2084 on the Mame Arcade, did anyone notice I played that once or twice  ;)

Seeing the ZX81 get so much attention, I sure do have a soft spot for that little machine, I think a ZXpand could be on the horizon after chrimbo  ;D

Not a great beat 'em up fan, but had fun on Soul Calibre with the stigmeister.

BAD

The feckin' cold ! It did warm up after a while, but at 8.30am it was a bit bloody chilly !

I was wondering what was keeping you so busy in the corner. Great with the twin stick setup isn't it.

We should go through the collection and configure them all, I think we only did Smash TV and something climber something?? Be good to get the all done.

Wheey... Just back from 2 weeks in sunny Gran Canaria  8)

Anyway, saturday was a great day, shame i had to leave so early but you know plane to catch and all that.... But along with showing off the ZX81... i got to play on the PET a bit, noticed the invaders was buggy, seemed to do a fair bit of talking with loads of different people, played a bit on the arcade Cabs, and was secrely listening to whoever it was playing music up the corner.... played some of the other machines too, kinda hard to rememeber but i know i had a great time and would happily do it again.

Well done everyone for creating a great atmosphere

Andy
