Title: HELP with .p65 MAC Pagemaker diagram files
Post by: swanson on October 04, 2017, 01:49:04 PM
Hi I desperately need to convert some old .p65 (Pagemaker) program files. I have tried opening them with Pagemaker 7 on Windows 10, and in Adobe in design and I can only get text and other random info - no pictures - which is the important content i need. I think the files were created on a Mac probably around 1995/1996. Does anyone have an operational older Mac ruining Pagemaker that might be able to load and convert them for me?

Cheers,

S.

An alternative would be to set up a virtual machine that simulates a Mac from those years ago? Install Pagemaker (assuming you can find it) from that era and load in the files and save them out as whatever generic formats were available back then?

(Only an idea, just thinking out loud)

Great idea. Trying SheepShaver - but finding it a bit tricky - any quicker solutions.....? Anyone with Pagemaker on a OS8/OS9 Mac? I could send the files if they could convert to JPG or PDF....

Andy

PS - I also know how to use Pagemaker! :)
