« on: October 11, 2016, 09:17:37 AM »
So tempted - will check diary later and confirm.

Won't be there today guys. Elliot has been sick in the night, so no school and I am therefore on childcare duties today....

3
Some slight changes - I can't do Sat 9th now as need to taxi the kids about - but looks like  loads of people can so not too guilty about that. See you Sunday 10th.

4
I'll need to check with the boss.... but pencil me in for Saturday/Sunday both weekends and also Tuesday (at least until mid afternoon).... Might be able to swing another day, but that will just be a last minute thing.

5
Yes its Hyperspin - but pimped up with all the game graphics and videos. I need to get a back up of it on my next visit as my original copy has gone missing and it took ages to get it all working nicely.

6
Booked and Paid - but may not get there until mid-afternoon.... but as it goes on till late, not a problem

7
Hope to make this one - may not get there until after lunch - but need to catch up

HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Re: Spares shop open now!
« on: June 20, 2014, 10:55:40 AM »
Have you contacted the arcade community - some of those guys have also stock piled chips and many are common across the 8-bit systems. I know for example that at least one ex-collector still has a stock pile of 6502s etc. Not sure what he plans to do with them if anything.

HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Re: Dragon 64 Repair Log
« on: May 06, 2014, 12:04:43 PM »
I've repaired a fair number of Dragons in my time - nearly all of them have been dead CPUs - commonly caused by inserting/removing cartridges whilst powered on.

Oh - and that serial number is quite low in the production run.

OFF TOPIC / Re: Which system is this tape recorded for?
« on: April 17, 2014, 11:27:36 AM »
It was nearly released for the spectrum by Adventure International.

Is that the whole tape - seems to be missing the loader block or its a format I don't recognize...

As it stands, it doesn't sound like a  Electron, Dragon or TRS-80 but I could be wrong

Sorry to hear you are letting some stuff go . . . always comes at the wrong time for the museum unfortunately - we would like most of your collection.

I have put off selling anything for as long as I can - but need to clear some space and raise some cash - don't really want to see any of it go but there are things in my collection I haven't seen or touched in years so I question why I have them. Offering on this forum only at the moment.

FOR SALE / WANTED / ERROR: BUFFER OVERFLOW - time to let some stuff go
« on: April 14, 2014, 09:40:36 PM »
I have hit that point where I no longer have any space left to add to my collection, so it is time to let a few things go.

Firstly the Acorn BBC Master 512 I will leave with RCM as a donation.

Secondly - I don't actually have a view on what to sell first, so pop over to my list http://www.retrocomputermuseum.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=3274.0 and feel free to PM me or post here with anything you might be interested in and I'll give it some consideration. Collection at the RCM Easter event on Fri/Sat is available.

I will be keeping my CPC6128, most of the Amigas so don't bother asking about those.

Install the Chrome extension - that pops up a reminder when you visit websites that participate and will automatically setup the claim for you..... I don't seem to be buying much these days, but have managed to get into 2nd place...

And now he realizes why that computer is so rare - most owners threw them out the window in a rage.
