Hi all, yesterday I collected my Apple II Europlus, nice system came with 2 floppy Disk II drives, Apple Graphics Tablet, game paddles some software and manuals. See: http://www.obsoletecomputermuseum.co.uk/Apple_II/Apple_II.html
Inside is the graphic tablet interface card, Disk II card, parallel card, pal card and a graphics card. Pics on above link.

Now when it was for sale, when it turned on you had the Apple ][ at the top of the screen but no cursor. Since picking it up I've had a play and basically narrowed it down to the Disk II card, when unplugged I get a cursor and can type.
I have tried plugging in the Disk II card in every port, with and without the disk drives connected, also tried both drives on both ports. In some slots the problem happens, and on some slots the card doesn't seem to be working.........

.......my assumption is that the Disk II card is faulty. I see some chips, should I do the old pull out and clean up trick?

Secondly I can't get a picture with the graphics card, but get a picture off the onboard port.

Anyhow, any help great fully received, tis a nice machine!

Tris

Hi! I'm new to RCM Forum, but have been talking to many members on Facebook for a while.
I'm a retro fan, and I own many many systems and software. But I am a total Amiga geek!
This has led me to forming Yeovil's Obsolete Computer Museum, based in Yeovil, Somerset, which I have been trying to get off the ground for a couple of years.
I also play around with computer based music, but I'm no Max Hall.
Anyway, plenty of links and dribble will fall from my keyboard at a later date.
And diary permitting I may even meet some of you in November!
