GENERAL RETRO CHIT CHAT / Retro Game Review
« on: April 14, 2011, 07:50:36 PM »
Hello everyone..

Joe Blade C64/Spectrum/Atari
======================

The Game Review I going tell ya is about JOE BLADE as I have play the ZX Spectrum, C64 and of course.....ATARI 65XE :D

C64 Version
=========

When I have played the game. They have put Various different enemys in the game which was good things. The graphics is good and sprites is not too bad but could do abit better! The sound was okish....

ZX Spectrum
==========

I have played the the game but there is three things I have notice......

One- The game itself is harder than C64 version,
Two - They dont have different enemys like C64 version(they have put one new enemy hammer in which C64 or Atari version that dont have!) but that might down to the memorys what they storage on zx spectrum.
Three- The graphics itself is okish but it would be nice to have some colours but again it down to memorys limited. The sprites is much better than C64 Version!
The sound of it was okish. To be honest....when I have played it and I thought it was poor! :(

Atari 65XE
========

I have play the game and I have to say this is the best version so far because

One   - The Game itself is abit easier
Two   - It is the same enemys as C64 version
Three - The graphics itself is abit better than C64 version!
The sound of it was okish at the time.....

Amstrad CPC
=========

I havnt played it but I am so shocked on seeing Amstrad CPC graphics that looking like ZX Spectrum and I dont understand why they used spectrum graphics as maybe it could down to lack of time when they were on tight deadline as I would thought Amstrad CPC Would easily be best version of it if had sorted the graphics out!

Amiga
=====

I have played the game and I have to say It is bloody awful.....it is nowhere near good as C64 or even Atari 65xe because

One - They have messed up the graphics as it could done better than that!
Two - IT doesnt played good as it could have be!

Overall
=====

ATARI 65XE win the Hand down as if you want to play the best version of Joe Blade then go for ATARI 65XE :)

I havnt got chance to play the Amstrad CPC or MSX or Atari ST version

Here the links for all Computer version of Joe Blade ScreenShot :)
