HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Re: RM Nimbus Hard Disks
« on: August 28, 2014, 02:17:55 PM »
What sort of hard disk do you have, I have a disk with the low level formatters for the Nimbus, including one hacked so it will format any compatible SCSI drive to Nimbus format, and not just the ones that RM officially supported.

I could make a disk image and post here if you want.

FOR SALE / WANTED / Couple of C64 boards
« on: May 19, 2013, 06:56:18 PM »
I remember speaking to someone at one of the RCM meetings about wanting some C64 spares.......

So I have two old C64 boards here, they are missing VIC-II, SID and U81 but have everything else present, I don't know what works on these boards because I've not de-soldered them but the SIDs all worked so some or all of the other chips may work too.

There are also a couple of boards that have had virtually all the chips removed, if you wanted these too, but no obligation.

Yours for the cost of postage.

Cheers.

FOR SALE / WANTED / Re: Dragon 32
« on: May 12, 2013, 01:53:42 PM »
Picked up a Dragon 64 last week for 12 quid, no PSU and is apparently faulty but Dragons are unheard of down here let alone a 64!!

Crazy-arse PSU these things had tho, will have to bypass the regulator board and inject sane voltages into the PCB direct.
That's deffo doable, from memory the 64 board needs +12, +5 and -12, so should be doable from somthing like a small ATX supply.

Cheers.

RCM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Re: RCM Website v3

Dunno if it's just me, but I find having the RCM graphics up either side of the screen, is distracting, and a little 'in your face' especially in the forum.

HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Atari 8 bit SD/MMC Cart
« on: January 22, 2013, 05:39:13 PM »
At one of the Snibston events I remember seeing an Atari 8 bit system, think it was either an 600XL or 800XL that had a SD/MMC based multi-cart. Does anyone know where I can get one from ?

Cheers.

ARCADE / Re: Capcom Gunsmoke Repair Log

Well at least you know that the CPU is working, and possibly the ROM, also it would seem nothing's pulling the busses high or low.

So not completely dead, is that the one that had the voltages connected to the wrong pins ?
