HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Re: Retro Gamer Magazine . . .
« on: September 05, 2008, 09:44:10 PM »
I've been hunting in  my loft!!!!

I've found Official Dreamcast Magazine's issues 1 to 20....Can't find demo disc's though.

Do you want them? I could bring them to the Open Day or get them to you sooner if you want.

Sorry but I can't find any of my Edge magazines!!! Might be back in Birmingham at my dad's as I know I have a few things still there.

I also found a box of Speccy games i was given that I'd never looked at. Oh well guess that means I'll have to get the +128 out and play them all.....Just to check that are all ok of course! They include Alien8, Manic Minor, Jet Set Willy The Hobbit to name a few.....I also found the cover tape from ACE issue 1!!!!! for both spectrum and Commodore. must see if that works!

On the topic of magazines......

I've got to check but I may have the following is you wanted them for the Museum....

Official Sega Dreamcast magazine including all Demo Disk's - I think I have every issue but not sure exactly how many.

I also have quite a lot of early EDGE magazines - possibly most, if not all, of the first 40. (I think I have the infamous 3DO feathers issue complete with feathers)

Hopefully I'll have chance to look over the next few days to confirm exact numbers.

Let me know if your interested.

HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Re: First Game that you Completed
« on: July 29, 2008, 11:07:11 PM »
First game I completed was Adventure on the Atari 2600. I completed all 3 difficulty levels too.

I also remember completing The Hobbit by Melbourne House. Text adventure with pictures based on the book. probably about 1984/85 I think.

I can remember looping the mazes on Gauntlet with a friend during a boring holiday where rain kept us indoors on his CPC464.

I got my Dreamcast as the high street shops were dropping it like a hot stone.

I picked up a new sealed official Sega Dreamcast Pad from Dixons for £2.49!

I wish I'd have gone to Telegames shop more before they closed down (or moved - I don't know where to if they did) as I picked up a few lynx games for a couple of quid If i remember correctly.

I remember getting a South Park game for the N64 for about £5 at Currys as they cleared out stock. I got 2 and part exchanged one of them for £10 at another games store.
