FOR SALE / WANTED / WTD Vectrex joystick
« on: April 16, 2012, 02:48:57 PM »
Got one the other day and the joystick is in bad shape. (been prised open to repair the stick)

Anyone got a spare one laying about I can have? (willing to pay)

Ok im here.

What is the best one to use. need it to run some of the popular games on it.

I did see a cable for a C64 a few weeks back that connects where the tape deck goes but has phono outs on it so anything with a audio out on can be used.

Know what they are called and where I can get them?
If I can load of a Mp3 player it would make things better (and a load of MP3s of the games)

Not forgetting
Computer Club
Last Tuesday and second Fridays The Lass o Gowrie
Saturday 4th-Sunday 5th August 2012

Theres a few other games based things planned at The Lass that you guys might need to keep your eyes open for.
(Why I needed some dates of upcoming RCM open days)
Not allowed to say anything aside from "They will be good"
Just keep your Sundays in Summer free

Megabyte Night of video games music, chip tunes and remixes
Third Fridays at the Retro bar
Not so much about gaming, more about partying

There is one more, but meh. Like the staff, the venue, but not most the people that go. (Pure machine code)

You guys got a list of planned dates for upcoming events.
To try and avoid having Lass gaming events on the same days as that seems to happen a lot

If you have $125 spare, there is ONE fairchild multicart left for sale

makes your cheapo find pretty expensive though  :o
Before I start spending money on it, I need to know if it works.

Is there one at RCM?

Im not the one doing it. (but will be part of it)
Best to email Gareth with any things

^Any chance you want to get rid?
they seem to be a bit rare!

looks like atari/etc controller plug, not sure about power supply, DIN or something?

Port wise.
It has a RF hole and this

Looking at it It looks like I have to import to get games for it.
Not going to collect for it, just want to see if it works

It was quite a shock to see it in those little creates those people put assorted junk in to sell.
To think the guy probably got it out of a house clearance

A idea in the planning at The Lass for the anniversary of those 8-bits and we need some help

Heres the message

I'm researching something for the Summer to tie in with the 30th anniversary of the Spectrum and I'm particularly interested in the synamic between Sir Clive and Lord Sugar around the takeover period of Spectrium computers in the mid 80's.

There's the odd bit and bob on youtube but I'm struggling to find anything substantive. Does anyone recall any interviews or comentary in the magazines? Have there been any biographies or books? All help gratefully received at garethkavanagh 'at'

Could do with all the info possable
