yay, what a weekend I got an Blizzard iv 030 for my miggy and the order number for my Open Pandora came through. I already have a GP2x and can emulate a whole host of classic systems, but the panny looks incredible. I think they have chosen the right name for it because if things work out ok its going to change the whole face of portable gaming and computing - i mean its got full speed miggy emulation for a start.

excited about this, but it aint in my hands yet. I managed to get in on the first production run of 4000 machines. fingers crossed as i have just done a bank transfer, they could well be sat on a beach with 800,000 quid next month

I was only thinking about the one Mat had in Stoke this morning. It was really sexy, its not the same playing R-type anywhere else but on a cabinet; mega cool

i have never used a miggy4000.
were there many atari st exclusive games?

yay cheers Andy.
my C64TPC http://cancarpet.com/saymantek/c64tpc_en.html turned up the other day. cant wait to try it. no doubt it will fry my brain along the way. I am currently undecided as to whether to get an blizzard 030 or 060 for my miggy. the 030 is £150 and the 060 £190. the price difference would suggest getting the 060, as i have seen them going for as much as £350. just don't want to buy something that i have to disable for games all the time.

HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Atari computers and emulation which is best
« on: January 20, 2009, 09:20:38 PM »
Hi guys,
my little bro has been over all weekend playing on my miggy. I have decided to get him a retro computer as a gift for helping me out with some work before xmass. i was thinking of getting him an Atari ST. Can you recommend which one is best, and an emulator I can put on his laptop for him? Also does a device similar to Easy ADF transfer for the miggy  exist for the ST ?
cheers guys

GENERAL RETRO CHIT CHAT / yay now using easy adf thanx matt at amigakit
« on: January 15, 2009, 10:06:08 PM »
Evening guys,
just had a new easy adf FC adapter turn up from Amigakit. the reason i couldnt get it to work was that the adapter didnt fit in the miggy correctly. they sent me a new one. Moreover, Matt at amigakit walked me through the process on the phone. really nice guy and very helpful. will defo use them again - dont mind paying a little extra for things if you get good support. so im now transfering files :) just need to learn how to use whdload on my flashcard now:(
how come all computer stuff gets cheaper as it gets older apart from the Amiga.

Hi guys,
to buy or not to buy. I've been checking ebay there isnt a great many cards outthere at all, so i might just end up getting whats available at the time when i have the cash. i was going to get an Apollo 030 but when i called back it had been sold at a stupid price - more than the cost of a new miggy!!!! I have checked a few forums and they tend to warn me away from 040's totaly as they arent meant to go in the standard miggy case. I suppose the upside is that if i get an 060 and there is probs with the A1200 i can sell the thing on.
just another day in the trenches
