Not retro but I bought a 3DS as I was given a good trade price on a couple of things.

and your thoughts on this mate - is it any good or just hype?

A

Not just a hype. The 3D effect looks very good but it does take time to adjust to it. Not worth buying one at the moment tho as the games aint that good (except Pilotwings) Only bought it now as I got a good price on a trade in.

Just picked up a few Speccy items of fleabay for next to naught.

Been watching it for days and guess that most folk were put off by the  high postage charge the seller had listed. He also offered collection which was great for me as he was literally just around the corner...well, past that shop and then down a bit.

Spectrum + (x2)
Spectrum 48k
Spectrum +3
x3 interface carts (not exactly sure what these are but 'mi guessing joystick adaptors?).
Big box of tapes (sadly no disks)
Alphacomm printer and speccy interface
Various manuals, books and magazines
A couple of descent joysticks and one very bizzare one ;D
Jiffy bag containing spare drive belt for the +3 and a new rubber keyboard & membrane for the 48

Let Me know how You get on with the Midi box please Andy, Midi has been a passion of mine since it started.
If memory serves it's also a sampler too, 8 channel Midi, though You will need an older style tone bank as most stuff is usb now.

Regards Moggy

I have a full sized MIDI keyboard. A friend of mine will loan me a Roland SC-55 for the early 90s feel. Shame I cant really play anything.

Maybe the ZX Music studio could make an appearance at the May event? Let Scarlettkitten have a play!

Very good but dusty. It could do with the retrobrite treatment but I'm very pleased with it :)

got a nice parcel from the States this morning, waited two months for it to arrive, I thought it was going to continue my run of bad luck and never arrive.
