Hello fellow lovers of older systems, my name is gary but I prefer to be known as Gaz hence the tag, first heard about RCM when I decided to clear out a little collection of old computers, I didn't want to just throw them out so I looked on Tinternet for some one or a group that could make use of them and found RCM and donated them Im still a big fan of most things Sinclair and still go a little misty eyed whenever i see a ZX Spectrum.

Hi!

Tom here, from VA in the US.

I'm an old guy, and been doing computer things since well before the invention of the microcomputer. I'm mostly interested in old Unix systems, both hardware and software, and CP/M.

I run various old Unix OSs on old x86 and m680x0 hardware, and also on AT&T 3B2. I run CP/M on Kaypro and more often on emulators such as Simh and Z80pack.

I also run a mostly unknown site at www.thisoldmicro.com that has a fair amount of files and information about my interests. Come check it out if you're curious. All are welcome!

Hi.  My name's Alex, and stumbled on this site when looking around at retrocomputing generally.  Interest sparked form having used a PDP-11 at college, VAXen at uni...

Basically a blast from the past.  Age 39, live in Berkshire.

Welcome to RCM QLvsJAGUAR :)

The QL is a fine machine, though somewhat flawed by the 68008 processor.

QUANTA - Ql Users ANd Tinkerers Assocation, if I remember correctly?

-- Richard

The 68008 was not that bad and the QL was upgradable to a full blown 68000 or a 68020 CPU with the GoldCard and SuperGoldCard expansion cards.

You remember correctly on QUANTA's full name.

Cheers, Urs

Hi everyone I'm doobs, I've been into computers since the late 1970's early 1980's when I first came into contact with them at school (380z research machines then later BBC micro's) but my favourite memories are due to Sinclair (ZX81, Spectrum 16/48) and Commodore machines (Vic20, C64, Amiga), as a kid I used to deposit myself in Laskeys and Currys and mess about with all sorts of interesting computers with exotic names like the Oric Atmos and the Jupiter Ace.

If you have an Amiga emulator lying around then why not try this fabbo game!!

follow this link from the mighty Aminet.net

Its a platform game written by my friend a couple a years ago that he released
on shareware only for one person to buy at the costly sum of £5.

So here's the full version free for everyone ;D

Please let me know what you think.

Ta.
