Hi,

I'm Darren, I live in Belper Derbyshire. I've been attending retro events forthe last few years where I discovered RCM and after a couple of visits became a member.

I look forward to attending many more events and enjoy seeing and using the many obscure (and less obscure) retro machines.

 :D

Hi, I am Dean from London,

I found this website after reading a leaflet left at the Retrovision event in Oxford.

I collect retro computers and game systems and I have a website (retro-zone.org) and a youtube channel (retrozoneorg).

I mostly get a kick out of new developements for old systems so I'm a fan of the homebrew scene. I also like the various upgrades (like Flash Card drives) for the older systems.

I also like the Die Hard movies......... All of them.

Hi Dean, was wondering when you were going to join the forum :)

Nice to see your here.

Hello! I'm Andrea.

I live in Huntingdon and have very little knowledge or understanding of computers, but I still have my very own original Acorn Master. 8)

It's the machine I wrote my first bespoke piece of software on - a menu driven type casting calculator with a flat file database back end on a 5.25" floppy.  ;D

It's also the machine on which I first played Elite - without a joystick. My first dabble with DOS also happened on this kit.  :-[

Some of the old things in life are still the best, but I don't like to talk about me very much. ;)

Hello Andy!

Yes... You must come to collect a few items - I don't think you need a pantechnicon.
You might need a Road Train!!!!  ;D

Thought I better say Hi.  :)

My name is Andy (the one in the back of the picture) and I have a nasty habit of saying the wrong thing and putting my foot in it. I'm also socially awkward around large groups of people, which is the main reason I rarely goto events (even though I buy tickets) ::)

My first computer was the ZX81 but switched to an Acorn Electron and never looked back. I stopped collecting stuff in 1996 but started again in 2003 and I have built up a large collection of Acorn bits & bobs.

I currently work at GamesTek producing new games for PC, Mac, Linux, iPhone & Android which we hope will be out by the end of the year.  :)

My interests are: website design, games, music, building PC's and my family. ;D
I dislike: 3D modelling (bit of a downfall in my profession), people that don't tell you if you upset them (it's easier to resolve problems if people communicate) and facebook (I not want to know every time you play farmville)  :(

So that's me ;)
If I haven't already offended you please say Hi ;D
