Hello all,

I'm Lee Warren. Old work colleague of Andy (John Baxter and Sons) and I found this site via a link on Andy's FaceBook page. I thought it was quite amazing to see all the old computers listed on here and their capabilities. Wow! We have moved on a lot.

Anyway, I now live in Surrey with my partner and 4 year old son Monty. Anyone remember me, please do get in touch or leave a message here or on my facebook page.

Cheers!

Lee

Hello all, another Lee here.

I live in south Leicestershire and I probably first heard about this site from someone on the YakYak forums, but I didn't wander over here until I met a few of you briefly at the VCF back in the summer. I have my ticket for the open day today so I guess I'll be meeting a few more of you later.

I have a small collect of retro gear, mainly spectrum related bits as that and the Amiga are my favourite machines of that era.  No Amgia in the collection yet unfortunately, but it's only a matter of time  :)

Right, just time for a quick shower before heading to the M1  8)

Hi,

I'm Richard Tubb. I live in Weoley Castle, Birmingham, and a Director in an IT Support and Consultancy company called JamesCash.co.uk based in Dudley.

I first came across RCM at the Bletchley Park Retro Computer Festival, where I saw Andy and co present.

Yesterday I attended the RCM Gaming Day in Coalville, and had a fantastic time - albeit embarrassing myself by being soundly thrashed at the 10-man Super-Bomberman tournament. :-)

I first got into computers through a 2nd hand Atari 600XL bought for me as a Christmas present when I was around 9 years old (I'm 34 now...) and have had a love of Atari's ever since.

I've recently organised my retro computer collection onto permanent shelving - and from where I sit I can see an Atari 800XL with 1050 Disk Drive and SIO2PC adaptor, a Commodore 64 with Cassette Deck, an Amiga A1200 with CF-Card Adaptor, an Atari VCS, a Playstation 2, a SNES with FDD Adaptor, a Sega Dreamcast, a Spectrum ZX81, a Gameboy and a few other odds'n'bods. There's plenty of other bits boxed away. For the longest time it was my goal to setup all these retro gaming machines so they weren't simply gathering dust, and now they can be played on at any time. It's rekindled my love of Retro gaming! The downside to all this is, I've found myself spending a lot of money on adaptors and new hardware to spruce them up...

Thanks to everyone who helped organise Sunday's event - my friends and I had a great time!

Regards,

Richard Tubb.

Welcome Lee & Richard - the more the merrier!

And I wouldn't worry about Bomberman - you'd have to be *really* bad to be worse than I am :)

Hi All,
I'm Dean from Chesterfield and I found this site through my good friend and retro nut Max Hall and by bumping in to AndyRCM on a programming forum.
I write and produce music (electronica) which all started out with an addiction to Noise Tracker on the Amiga. Then working with cubase 3.1 on the Atari ST (Which is still running at Max's studio).

My retro history mainly started with the Spectrum 48k, then 128k version. I progressed to the Amiga 500 before taking most of my gaming console bound with the Sega Mega Drive, PS1 and the Dreamcast.

Modern Games tend to bore me quite quickly hence my Wii rarely gets used. But I do dabble occasionally on Warcraft and Starcraft when the mood takes me.
