Just Subscribed
My name is Jerry and I restore old electronic equipment in my spare time. Everything from old valve TV's to very early computer equipment. I also produce replica computers boards for older types such as the Altair, Mark-8, MK14, OP-80a etc

I subscribed because this old equipment is very rare and I often need advice and information so this seemed to be the place to look.

Jerry

I am James and in Hertforshire UK. I found the site from Google when looking for an Eprom service so I can fix some of my old retro up. I'm old enough to have used the stuff 1st time around, ZX81, TRS80, Acorn Atom, Memotech... and MANY more. I often changed my machines! Hello, everyone!

Greetings Methanoid... Does your handle refer to Deuteros? That is probably my favourite game of all time.

Hi i'm James
Live in Leicester and was super excited to find out that this place existed, especially on my door step.
Found out about the place through a video about the mythical Amiga CD1200.
Intend to come and visit this saturday!!

Greetings,
My name is David and I'm a retro computer addict.
I have several old systems and emulations ranging from calculators to mini computer parts.

I hear you are having a DEC event this weekend. Can anybody give me more details please.
Kind regards, David.

Hi David,
Welcome to the forums . . . One of our volunteers Andy C. has organised a mini meet up of DEC owners for Sunday. The owners machines will be on display in our chill out area.

Hi Andy,
As it happens I used to live in south Leicestershire although I live in North Yorkshire now. I'm going to try and visit on Sunday, what time are the doors open, is parking available nearby?

I've made a little list, I have an interest in these machines.
Hp calculator
Texas calculator
Munroe calculator
Commodore calculator
Royal calculator
Curta calculator
EE Deuce
Matmos (Trimuph Adler) CP/M
MK14
Jupiter ACE
Ohio C1P
Sinclair QL
DEC pdp-8f
DEC pdp-11
RC2014
xbeaver Nascom Z80 emulator
FPGA Z80 emulator
FPGA PDP11 emulator
PiDP8i
Tandata Prestel adapter
Minicom acoustic coupler / terminal

Some of the above I have working, others are just dreams.
Kind regards, David

Hi David
We open at 11.00am but will be around from 10.00am onwards. We have ample parking at the RCM HQ mate so no worries there. :)
Some nice kit there! ;)
Cheers
Andy

Hello I`m Mark,

I have been interested in the Amiga since about 1988 and used to visit the shop on the industrial estate where the Museum is based.
I live in Melton Mowbray not to far away and might pay a visit next week.
I have a few Amigas such as A500,A1200s one of which is towered with a 060/ppc 233 grex voodoo and an A1xe.
I also like stripping, cleaning, upgrading pcs then running Linux on them.

I'm George, live in Leicester, and come to RCM every now and again. I'm interested in many things, but mainly C64, Amiga, and older Unix machines (can't beat a game of Buzzsaw though). This forum seems pretty slow at the minute (where doesn't) but hopefully activity will pick up again.

Replying to an 11-year-old post isn't the same without a good *bump* :P
