Over the years there's been all sorts of crap stuff sold on ebay.

There have been funny shaped crisps, nail clippings, an empty jar with someones "soul" in it, a piece of chewing gum once chewed by Alex Fergurson....the list goes on...

In the past, seperate auctions for "A load of old rope" and "a dead horse" have gone on eBay..... and then very quickly pulled.

Someone once put Exeter university on eBay as a stunt to make a point to the university directors about their approaches...

Someone once sold a private jet on ebay, I believe it was on ebay.com and still to this date is the most expensive thing to be sold on ebay.
