I was in 2 minds about going to this or the one in germany but I have to stay loyal & plump for RCM.
I have been to the german retro-fair twice before & it's been great fun + chance to buy some good rare stuff there as well.

My balls would be removed if I went to a retro event abroad.

One of the many reasons why I still have my cojones is because I'm resolutely single :)

And another is that I'm off with three others to Germania on Friday for the eJagfest in Kaarst and then driving back on the Sunday :)

Paula and myself should be at one of the days of the RCM weekender. We're looking at the Saturday if she can get the evening off work.

Though I think, in time, we should organise a little trip to go to ejagfest 2011 in Kaarst, assuming it goes ahead. I'm willing to share part of the driving if needs be. Germany is cool at any time of the year, but the Christmas season and the leadup to it is something special and quite classy. As I noticed when I was out there working a few weeks ago, it is a blessed relief to see traditional Christmas-related items on display which are NOT attached to the latest teen-chav movie or singer or whatever.

Hopefully the trip can include members of RCM as well ;)

cheers,

Felice.

I will be coming with one or two friends.

I was hoping to do mini events in the South East (Brighton, Lewes and Croydon) before I knew of the RCM. I have bought a few computers and games on ebay.

See you in May

Jason

A new feature thats been worked on in the last few weeks:

We will now be able to load a selection (12 so far) of games into our Orics from floppy disk! No more waiting ages for the tape to load only to find it didn't....

I have prepared video evidence:

This should be incentive enough for you all to get your tickets early ;)

Is that built on the boards that where being sold recently on ebay ? If so gonna have to build one of mine up, guess I need to find a schematic, and a rom image !

Cheers.

Phill.

I don't think thats where our boards came from, but its an easy enough board to build.

Schematics are at www.48katmos.freeuk.com

The ROM image is available as part of the Euphoric download.

You'll also need to obtain the oric tools for DOS (namely writedsk) if you want to write disk images. You'll probably also want to make use of tap2dsk and old2mfm.
