Hi from Ian D
« on: October 04, 2011, 08:14:07 AM »
Hiya, I found this site whilst collecting retro (Atari 400) stuff for my younger brother's 40th. It was more of a "here's what you missed" present as he was a little too young when we got our 400 and I wanted him to have a chance to "catch up". We both ended up working in IT but he really started out on PCs (poor chap). I really miss the Atari days and have always stayed around the retro (mostly, sadly, through emulation) but I do intend to get myself an 800XL and work on some of the cool mods (SIO2PC, PROPER video etc.). Hoping to come along to the members event in November as I am only about 1.5 hours from Leicester. Looking forward to it all  :P

Welcome Ian to RCM! :)
The 8 bit Atari's are just fantastic - one of my personal favourites and as you mention the 800xl really is a great machine.
Look forward to meeting you in November.
Cheers
Andy
