Not working Archimedes A3020 offered for free in Dorset
« on: September 03, 2012, 10:24:18 PM »
The machine is highly likely not working. (I don't have a compatible monitor or software to test).

This is a 'green' key version.
Pick up from Dorset.

PM me if this could be useful to you and I'll give you my contact details.

I'm sure Dorset isn't too far from Phu  ;)

Wonder if it could be used to fix my A4000  ;D

Archie has now gone.

Apparently it was working and now gone to RCM. A happy ending for a machine which I had no need nor resources, even local freecycle groups were not interested in. I kept thinking I should just take it to the dump but just couldn't do it...

Your A3010 was gratefully received, along with the other machines and bits and pieces :) Many thanks for those :)

Please do think of RCM rather than dumping stuff... that's what we're here for :)

Panther: you'll have to negotiate with sir Andy of RCM for access to the Arm250 chip ;)

I'll appeal to his generous side, especially as I have a C64, boxed 1541 drive and a non working Vic-20 in the boot of my car for RCM  ;D

No worries, now I know RCM exists, I won't be able to say no to any old (non PC) computer which come my way.
