TMS9929 video chip
« on: January 11, 2013, 11:53:08 AM »
Hi all,

Anyone know where I could source a couple of TMS9929 video chips, as used in the MSX, Memotech, Einstein etc. i need a couple for a project I have in mind.....

Or if anyone has a faulty machine that has said video chip, and it's know to be working might also be interested.

Cheers.

Phill.

If you find a stash, buy them all. Those chips are getting like rocking horse shit.

not cheap but an alternative maybe

probably only if you really really need to get that old system up and running again, for a new project i'd be looking elsewhere

I sourced a couple from eBay.
If I remember right, about £5 each.

http://www.nyangau.org/video/video.htm is my homebrew alternative.

Working, but far from polished.

Probably better to go F18 in the mean time...
