Hi From Richard
« on: August 11, 2014, 08:20:31 AM »
Hi Everyone,

new on the forum and wanted to introduce myself

I'm Richard and i'm from Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

Grew up in the 70's and 80's with the Atari 2600, Philips videopac, later moved on to the C64 and Amiga, after that nintendo's and Playstations (now with the PS4, but i still own the 1, 2 and 3)

Always wanted a Vectrex but back in the days they were to expensive so reliving my youth and bought one on a dutch ebay site  :)
It's a broken one but one of my (many) hobbies is fixing game consoles and i have for the last couple of years had a lot of experience fixing the Nintendo DS family (up until the 3SDS XL)
I was looking for a new project and fixing a Vectrex sounded like just what i needed  ;D

Came across this site when looking for Vectrex info, very good to see that there are more people like me who like all things computer :-)

Cheers  :)

Hi There

Amazingly, my neighbour has a mint condition Vectrex (Portrait style TV and separate games controller?) which he gave to his Son. His Son plays PS4 and Xbox :o(
