Vectrex

Are there any Vectrex owners/fans out there?

I was lucky enough about five years ago to buy a working unit in great condition, with original carrying case for £50.

I opened it up to have a look inside and found about an inch layer of dust!

Incredible machine and such a shame it never really took off.

It's without question my favourite retro hardware.

Fantastic piece of kit (I own two).

Scramble is one of the best conversions in my opinion, berserk is also excellent, yeah shame it never really took off, I expect at the time it would have been pretty expensive, likewise I bet the games weren't cheap either.

I have to agree with Scramble and Berserk. Although I have noticed that when you progress further along the levels in Berserk and the screen becomes really populated with robots the poor Vectrex really strains. I don't mind so much though. I even enjoy the retro buzz due to the unshielded speaker cable running close to the power line inside the machine.

I wouldn't change a thing about the console.
