Compaq Games Console
« on: October 24, 2015, 08:17:38 PM »
I wonder if anyone can help me.

In my cellar I have found what looks like a 1990s pub 2 person game console complete with around 100 games (Mars Attack, Donkey Kong etc) on 3.5 inch floppy disks.

When I power it up, I’m getting an initial boot up of what appears to be a Compaq disk drive - what is linked to I have no idea. There is an out of synch signal going to the Hantarex Polo monitor. However, it doesn’t  initialising the game on the disk. It has a programmable Excel Credit Board which appears to be working.

I think it’s a piece worth restoring and was wondering if you knew of anyone who restores these things either as a business or a hobby.

I’m based in Hereford, but getting it anywhere in the country is not a problem. I could forward some pics if they would be of use.
