A lovely story and great example of a refurbished speccy . . .
« on: November 23, 2016, 09:33:59 PM »
There is an extremely lovely speccy on ebay currently that has a great history . . . it is being sold by one of our members on here. His name is Andy (not me).

Story here:-
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/discussion/2633/sinclair-zx-spectrum-128#latest

Listing here:-
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=192032911717&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_1466wt_691

I thought you would all like to know about this. A special mention also must go to Alex and Ian from mutant caterpillar (http://www.mutant-caterpillar.co.uk/), who carried out all the refurbishments and repair.

Cheers. Andy.

PS - 10% of the final selling amount comes to the Retro Computer Museum. :)

Just read the amazing story, I've never seen a repair log that has taken that many years to complete.
