What game on the 8bit Nintendo (NES) do you think had the best music?

Gremlins 2 gets my vote :)

I do like the music on that mate - trouble I have is that I never personally owned a NES . . . it wasnt until late last year that RCM got one and I have not had chance to play on it much! :(

I never personally owned a NES . . .

Wow, you missed out on such fun, the flashing powerlight, blank screens, blowing the dust out of the carts before slamming them in. ::)

Nah just kidding, I love the 8 bit nintendo really.  It has so many quality titles Super Mario 3, Duck Hunt, Metal Gear, Commando, I could go on but I'll stop ;D

A good site to check out is http://www.nesguide.com/ as they have archived the games with video footage of the gameplay :)

I absolutely love game music on the NES.

One of my favourites would have to be the original Final Fantasy.

Never an original NES owner (well never a console owner !), got one now but it's had very little use.  :-\

There are collections of NES music rips out there.  The stuff that Tim Follin was able to extract out of the soundchip in the NES are stunning.
