Yeah - very good indeed - what about Super Hang On?
Where you sat on a bike that moved!

That was equally cool.

Some realy gems - but what about pacman - space invaders - asteroids - mr do etc. wicked. I love MAME - it rocks!

Im thinking of having an arcade cab or two in the museum eventually - I can buy the roms legally and use a mame cabinet! Do you think this would be a good idea?

I think that it will happen - depending on how things go once we are set up and running and some money is coming in!

They are not cheap though - be worth it in the long run . . .

Arcade cabs are a must! - Just steer clear of those *ahem! cough!* mahjongg and breakout games with 'interesting' pictures... lol!

Gotta be:-

Mr. Do!             - Still love this manic, manic game after all these years!
Robotron 2084   - HATED this first time around ('cause of the blocky, neon graphics), BUT after playing with two joysticks on my cab, and seeing the genius of the risk vs. reward gameplay (try collecting all of the humans on a Brain level, or on level 10   lol!) and I fully appreciate annd bow down to Mr. Jarvis's utter brilliance) - you can come off this machine shaking and hyperventillating after a 'zoned' session!
Tempest!          - 'nuff said...  as above....
Starforce!         - Used to LOVE this game, and still a great blast! - goes by the name of Megaforce too - the inspiration for Warhawk on the 8-bits...
Star Wars!        - Jaw-droppingly (at the time!) detailed smooth graphics, and class samples! - GREAT game!
Paperboy          - Not the same without the handlebars!
Exerion             - Tough Jaleco shooter, with sneaky as f*ck enemies, and a superb 3D rolling landscape...
Circus Charlie     - Great little skill game, with 6 different, fun (& absolutely infuriating!) events! - try it, but choose the version with a level select for practicing, or you'll be head-butting the screen...   ;D go on, fry a lion, jump monkeys, balance on your balls - what other game gives you that?!...
Afterburner        - The original arcade blaster with yoke - superb, and another machine you can come off with the shakes of an adrenalin rush, after a particularly hairy game! - class!
Outrun              - THE racing game of choice for a loooong time! - great atmosphere, and FUN (something you don't find many games giving these days!)...
Buggy Boy!        - All of the above....
Ridge Racer        - likewise, superb racer, if a little new for this kind of list...    :D

Oh, there are LOADS more, but I'll let someone else chip in for now!  ;)

I like the comment about Mahjong! There is also a pool game that features scantily clad pixelated chicks!
