RCM are proud to announce their 5th Retro Gaming Day - TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE! ;)

Venue is:- The Institute, Main Street, Swannington, Coalville LE67 8QL
Date and Time:- Sunday 31st October 2010 from 10.30am - 5.00pm
Ticket Prices:- £5.00 for adults, £1.00 for children for pre-ticket sales and £7.00 for adults, £2.00 for children on the day ticket sales.
Tickets are now available and can be purchased either by clicking on our donate button which is at the top left hand side of this page, which will in turn take you to our paypal account or on the day at the venue (at the higher cost). If you wish to pay by other means please send either myself or Linda a PM! The closing date for pre-ticket sales will be October 14th. We will send out the purchased tickets two weeks before the event. If anybody needs any more information please do not hesitate to ask!

PS - Just to let you all know - we are running a 10 (simultaneous) player Bomberman competition on the Sega Saturn. Please do come along and join in! :)

To let you all know in plenty of time . . . we are planning a full weekend event for May of next year.
The date(s) will be the weekend of the 7th and 8th of May - opening at 11.00am to 6.30pm (approx) on the Saturday and then opening again at 10.30am until 5.30pm on the Sunday.
We have done this to make it easier for our overseas visitors to make a long weekend of it.
Ticket prices etc and further details will be announced soon. Tickets for the May 2011 event will be on sale at our October event and then after that on the website as usual.
I hope this meets with the approval of our regulars too.

The aim of RCM is that we want to open a Retro Computer/Console Museum to the public, a very much hands on museum where people can play the machines that started the home computer/gaming explosion. The museum currently owns just over 150 different systems, along with some duplicates too which takes us to over 250 systems. We have a thriving forum online but unfortunately due to the economic climate this is how the museum will be stoppping for the time being, although we now have premises for a workshop and the storing of machines.

We rely on donations of systems and sometimes monetary donations along with ticket sales and merchandise to survive and of course our forum members support us any way they can. We are currently cataloging every machine, peripheral and games etc that we have and will be updating the website accordingly.

Our first blog entry . . .

We (as in Myself, Karl, Richard and Stuart) have been at our unit today testing systems and moving around some more bits n bobs!
One of the systems tested was our Sega MasterSystem with 3D Glasses, after a bit of tweaking by me  - they work - very good 3D it is too! Space Harrier is just amazing!
Unfortunately one of our Sega Saturns has died!  Need to find out a replacement for that now! Another machine tested was our Sega Dreamcast - which worked great!

Still a few more systems to sort out before our May event! I will keep you posted . . .
