ARCADE / Re: Golden Axe Repair Log
« on: May 03, 2010, 02:59:36 PM »
excellent stuff, i love golden axe (but not the master system version, no 2 player??)
out of curiosity, how long would you say it took you from start to finish to do all that?

One of my favorite machines the pc engine. Ill hunt it out and fetch it to the open day

I got it as a part of a bundle with a rare sharp x1 twin system which I stupidly sold for all the wrong reasons for very little money.

What games have got for there there pc engine Andy? I'm pretty sure I've got a street fighter 2 if you want it?

well, Ive got any amount of spares and I can provide power supplies, buttons and pretty sure ive got some rotory sticks knocking around, doing the wiring is also no problem but unfortunately wood work is not my strong point.

Nice idea.

not that I can afford it at the moment but I have just sent payment by Western Union, total cost was £48.44.
Fingers crossed that it all goes well

If anyone has a cheap mega drive cart I could do with one to butcher for the case ;D

I've got a case off a smash tv cart you can have if you still need one

HARDWARE/SYSTEMS DISCUSSION / Re: your latest Retro computer purchases

I am slowly starting to up my collection again now.
A few things that ive managed to snag recently are a Super Gameboy 2, nice looking Sega Nomad and a few knackered arcade boards that are now fixed.
Had a Nomad some time ago and stupidly let it go, never again shall I make that mistake.

Thanks. Its nice to find a UK based site.
Looking forward to meeting you all

Hello all,
Im Jon living in sunny Cumbria and just turned 30. Once upon a time I had a mighty collection of consoles/computers. Sadly most of the computers had to go due to space limitations at the time. Got a lot more room now so going to be building the collection up again. Have also been collecting arcade PCB's over the last year or so and loving that too.
I found this site after searching for UK retro events. Myself and a likeminded mate will be attending the event in May and thoroughly looking forward to it too.
