Wow!  Excellent news  8)

OFF TOPIC / Re: Any budding hardware/software programmers out there . . .
« on: September 08, 2014, 01:25:41 PM »
I've had an email that it said all the boards have been allocated and recipients have been contacted by email.  I wasn't among the lucky ones, but it was worth a shot.

Anyone with better news?

After filling out the first form I got a response asking for my postal address " we can send you your board".   Sounded all rather positive but after giving postal address; twitter account (?);  information on the type of project I plan to build;  and IDEs I've used I was greeted with  "Thanks, we'll be in touch when we have more to share. "  It left me wondering if I'd been given the brush-off for not being .Net enough or perhaps they aren't quite ready to ship.  It was just an odd change of tone, but either way it was worth a punt :-)

Thanks for the heads up  Andy 8) .

Did anyone got more than a "Thanks, we'll be in touch when we have more to share"?

That's a nice offer, thanks very much   8).  I'm currently free on that day and I'm happy to meet you at the station to collect it on behalf of RCM.  If you PM me your travel details nearer the time I'm sure we can organise something.

Could I take Terminator, Spiderman 2, Scaler, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Metal Slug 3 please?

If it's easier I'll take all 7 and RCM can have the other two  :)

GENERAL RETRO CHIT CHAT / Re: Game Over! (for Atari USA)

C11BP is different than calling in the administrators over here, so this isn't necessarily the end.  According the BBC they are trying to split from Atari SA, so this sounds like a smart move.

GAMING . . . / Re: New ZX81 Game
« on: January 21, 2013, 12:34:46 PM »
I had a play with it on the big screen last weekend.  I'm not really into the ZX81 beyond the usual 3D moster maze, but I was impressed this one.  The screen shots don't do it justice to how really smooth it plays.

Penny reaches escape velocity  ;D

My bad, sorry.  I thought Andy was trying to off load duplicates to clear a little space.
