« on: October 21, 2009, 06:54:44 PM »
After it went well at the last open event I have been asked to do another Mario Kart Battle Mode Competition  :)

Maximum of 16 players.
£3 to enter - payable on the day at sign up
3rd prize - RCM mug
2nd prize - RCM polo shirt
1st prize - RCM fleece

we may need to order the polo shirt & fleece for the winners as we only have so many in stock

Please let me know if your interested, in this thread, just so I can get an idea of interest.

Hmmm, I'm tempted, but not sure whether Mario Kart might bring out my road rage :D

Mario Kart is good, but it would be good to have a different competition for next time - rather than the same thing everytime.

I can see Quagmire itching to suggest a Bomberman playoff..... and dragging PhoenixTLB into the argument... "for some reason" ;)

I was thinking about Bomberman to be honest.

Would that be preferred?

Bomberman sounds good to me.

What version and console would we play it on?

I have Super Bomberman 2 on the SNES.....but if someone else has another system & better version - as long as the output of the system is either composite (Yellow Phono) s-video or VGA no problems.
I also have the speakers which need phono (red & white) inputs.

That could work well.

As long as I get 16 players.....4 knockout rounds....winner goes through.
Final play off for the 4 winners.....top 3 win the prizes. (still £3 to enter though)

After all is complete we can all sit/stand back and watch Quagmire Vs Pheonix The Rematch!!!  ;D

You don't have to do it as 4 players a round. You could do it just with two players to make the tournament more progressive.
