Study is a tip! Need to sort and put away but can not be arsed. Machines everywhere. Monitors are multiplying.

22:12 - Ive done some retro tinkering! Finally I have a fully working ZX81 with 16k RAM. Ultimate test was loading 3D monster maze from a tape image - IT WORKS!!!  ;D

Glad this ZX81 has a proper keyboard - none of this membrane rubbish.  :D

22:30 - Twenty three years ago on my 12th birthday I got Werewolves of London for the Speccy. It came on a twin version tape, Speccy version one side, and the CPC version on the other side. Of course the inlay screenshots werent the Speccy version and everytime I had to rewind the tape I wondered what the other version was like. Well tonight I am loading that very same cassette onto a CPC464, finally got round to it, a couple of decades late :)

15:32 - You see, the CPC is better than the speccy.  ;D (/me runs away...)

15:54 - After so many years of not taking any notice of the CPC's at all I have to say that some of the games (the ones that are not direct speccy ports) do look good on the Amstrad (not that the speccy originals weren't good either).

13:55 - Well, now my front room stinks like most retro events that have lots of BBC Micros ...... yes that's right, I was playing on my Beeb this afternoon and now it's started smoking quite badly :o :( There's nothing like the smelt of burnt capacitors, burnt plastic and years worth of dust!

14:02 - Tidying up. Got the BBC Master 512 running DOS on its 80186 CPU board. Will be making a video of it later.

22:15 - Tripped over my commodore monitor, think I have broken my toe. Damn it hurt, on a more positive note my Amstrad DD1 and drive work perfectly, after an edge connector polish and a new drive belt :)

21:10

Back in my hotel room as I'm in Stockport for the night.

Had a good meal at Akbar's in Manchester (very tasty Indian food)

In the way we passed the hotel and Chinese Buffet we ate at when doing Eurocon at The Lass...wish I could have gone there tonight but as the only retro gamer in a group of six that was not going to happen :(

Back home after our 6pm finish tomorrow :)
