I got Virgin 20Mb at home, with the XL TV and phone installed last week. So far so good. Was on BT before with 7.6Mb link.

At work we use Star, with a 10Mb ethernet leased line. So we get 10Mb up and 10Mb down. Soon to be 100Mb each way.  :o

We're with BT (for obvious reasons ;)). Now just waiting for that lovely fibre to kick in...

I looked at getting 50mb when we moved to Virgin, but I could not justify the extra cost. I don't use the internet enough these days anyway. Have stopped downloading moves/music etc. Net mainly used for forums, photos, web design and iPlayer. Saying that, we mainly use iPlayer on out V+ box now.

Yeah I know what you mean matey - but we have around 6 or 7 PC's and several consoles on t'internet so I can justify the 50mb increase.

Yeah - i understand.

Since ive stopped hosting sites etc from home and having servers on 24/7, there are not many concurrent connections anymore. Right now, its my MacBook Pro, Time Capsule,Mrs T's IBM laptop and a PC on. Thats it. Electricity bill is going down too!

I wish our electricity bill / gas bill was going down - what a bloody nightmare the prices are these days! :(

TalkTalk. I had to recently get the speed reduced to make the line more stable:

But still quite happy with that. I am very limited for providers where I live.

If you are thinking of going on O2 Access Package (the non-unbundled package using BTs Backbone), I strongly advise against it. I was on that before I moved to talktalk and was getting 0.5MB speeds in the evening, due to O2s crappy implementation of traffic shaping. Do a search and read the forums and you will see alot of other people on the access package have been moaning and have left them recently because of the very poor speeds. Here is just one of the many many threads: http://forum.o2.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=36131

Yet O2 supplies BeThere with my connection and it's fine.  11.5Mb speed all day/every day.  Very odd.  Ho hum.

But that is Unbundled at the Exchange and not using BTs Equipment and Lines.
