6-8 inches overnight, still snowing.

3 out of 8 staff didn't make it in this morning and are working from home...

I sent a pic of our offices to the local radio station:

It was -10c in the car park at Sainbury's in Warrington where I get a lift to work from.  Slowly but surely as we picked up the other two passengers, it went down to -7.5c .. hopefully it's a bit better over the weekend as I've got Bowlers tomorrow, then a night out in Liverpool.  And the German markets in Manchester on Sunday.

I like the cold, it's just the 'slip and end up on your arse with some kind of injury' I don't like.  Trying to fix a leg in plaster cast on a Ryanair flight is nothing something I'm wanting to encourage :)

Finally, an evening without snow fall.

Broke my spade clearing a path last night so had to dig into a 3ft snowdrift with a dust pan & brush so that i could open the garage door to get at my shovels/spades etc.

Practically had to use my pick axe on the road surface to smash up the ice this morning. After an hour or so at it, managed to get the car moved about 4ft. Gave up in the end and bummed a lift in to work.

T'was -10 in my car at 5:15am...brrr

A couple of days of snow at the weekend is fun & great for photography, but a whole week at 5am trying to dig paths/cars really is a pain. I envy those that haven't had much snow, really getting sick of it now :(

Just been wandering around the countryside armed with my camera. Beautiful day, the light is fantastic. Will upload some photos when I get time
