I would love one but like you - funds are a little tight - although I think our eldest son is buying himself one! :)

Ive heard its really bad for your eyes, and that children under 6 years old shouldnt play it as it can cause permanent damage.

I think it also has problems with the viewing angle, but having never tried one I cant say for certain.

Has already been hacked to run the R4 cards!

Not touching this one myself. I just don't 'get' nintendo. On the odd occasion I've bought one of their consoles it just gathers dust! My Japanese DS has hardly been touched since I picked it up on Osaka  :o I know its around somewhere!!

I played one yesterday  at gamestation I must admit the 3D really worked using the built in-game which uses the 3D camera to great effect.

I was playing a target shooting game using the 3D camera & the gamestation desk, one target I couldn't see properly because the desk was high & the 3D split apart otherwise it's a cracking little game.

The shop assistant told me Sky are working with nintendo to show the 3D Sky channels on the handheld.

I won't be able to purchase one for a while but it does look the business.

Yeah, I  think i'll go and trial one and see what all the fuss is about. To be honest, don't think i need another handheld as I mainly use my DS for handheld emulation rather than DS titles themselves (although there's a few DS games that are soo addictive).

Now if the 3DS somehow changed the DS Oric emulator into pseudo 3d that would be cool.

Just think...3D Defence Force...mmmmmmmmmmmm

Been playing about with one at work this morning (joy of working for a toy retailer), 3D is VERY good, and the augmentented reality games are just weird, but fun to play.

But at nearly £200 it ain't cheap !!

The problem at the moment is that demand tends to strip out supply, so they can keep the prices high, look how long it took for the price of the Wii to come down !

Yes - or as you might prefer to call it, price fixing. Nintendo and Apple both seem masters of it.

Not something I approve of, even as a retailer myself!

lol, I wondered how long it would take AFTER release before it was R4'd not how long before!!

still cant see me getting one any time soon, I use my DSL pretty much for emulators only with a coupe of exceptions like geometry wars, space invaders extreme and archanoid with a paddle
