Battle of the 8-bits at the Console Combat event
« on: June 24, 2009, 11:24:14 AM »
Just trying to drum up a bit more interest in the competition I'm running at Console Combat in July...

It's time to settle those 80's playground arguments once and for all! Which is better - the Speccy or the C64? Or was it the much-maligned Amstrad or even the school favourite, the BBC Micro? Perhaps you preferred consoles and would like to defend the honour of the NES, Master System or Atari 2600? If so then the Battle of the 8-bits is the competition for you! Originally scheduled to be part of the Byte Back event, this competition is back, bigger and better...

Thus far we have a few people signed up for the Atari, Master System, BBC Micro and NES teams but nobody for the Spectrum, C64 or Amstrad. So more people are needed!

So if you're coming to the event and want to get involved, please let me know ASAP by posting on this thread, PMing me or filling in the form on the website (where you can also see the full rules):

You don't need to be really good at any games, it's just a bit of fun really, but the important thing is that you get involved because if you don't, it's quite likely there won't be any systems available for you to play on for large parts of the event!  ;)
