Can anyone help RGB mod a PC Engine?

I thought it would be so easy.. nope. Turns out my soldering skills are a LOT worse than I initially thought and I'm worried I'll cause some damage if I even try to do this.

Basically I need the unit modifying for RGB output via a 9pin DIN socket (Sega Megadrive2 style). The old RF block needs desoldering, wires attached to the ext bus pins to tap the RGB bits and bobs then all soldered up to the socket.

Anyone able to help with this please? I've looked around for anyone doing it on other forums and websites but either they don't get back to me or they just want to install a cable coming out of the side which is not what I want at all.

I have all the components so really just need a solderer. Anyone up for the task? Thank you :D

(slightly upset that I've spent money on getting all the bits, soldering kit etc and I'm a complete and utter idiot)

Found some instructions for taking composite from the expansion connector on the back. Made a quick cable up only to find that the machine isn't outputting anything. Knowing my luck I've bought a broken unit even though it was sold as working :/

update: I'm the muppet who didn't realise the PCE needs center NEGATIVE power.. doh. Now it works. Got sound from the back :D

Been meaning to pop down for a while but it's just having the time. Need to make it more regular.

Could had just bought a Core Grafx with AV built-in but there is just something nicer about the original machine and it'll look nice all cleaned up. Next thing to pick up is a CDROM2 unit. Probably one sold as "non-working" as 9 times out of 10 it's just a worn middle gear. I have a spare gear being sent to me :D

I do need to sort my blooming soldering iron out. Only had it a week and it just doesn't seem to get that hot :/

Change of plan. I've got one of these cables on order which I'll be using until I obtain a CDROM unit in the future. Then I'll recycle the cable into an internal mod :D http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?62536-PCEngine-external-RGB-SCART-No-internal-modification-required-Order-thread
