15th August . . . systems . . .
« on: July 09, 2009, 02:45:42 PM »
Hello guys . . . are there any preferences for systems at our special event . . .

One machine that will be there is Mug's Atari ST - I know I said nobody else's machines will be there but . . . this one only as it has an SD card inside it . . .

Two other machines that spring to mind now are Sinclair ZX-Spectrum +2 (with DivIDE interface) and Atari 800xl (with SD2ISO!).

If our BBC is back from being repaired by then - that can be there as we have a SD Card adapter for that too! ;)

Vectrex? Atari 2600???

Your thoughts please . . .

I know you got other BBC Micros in that unit.... perhaps if I fixed one on Saturday ... ? :)

I think I already demanded with threats asked politely for you to include an Acorn 26bit machine of some sort...

If you're having a 2600, might I recommend the 7800 I'll be bringing back complete with S-Video mod ?

Wouldn't mind seeing a Sega Master System of some sort.... if only because its the only console I can actually complete Sonic The Hedgehog 1 & 2 on...

I would love the following machines to be there:
  • Amstrad CPC 6128
  • Amiga A500, A500+, A600 or A1200 - preferably at least two Amigas though .... I have the null modem cable to link two up for some four player Lotus 2 action
  • Acorn A3000, A3010 or A3020

All I ask is, if you have some, some replacement disks to cover the ones I give you .... they don't have to have anything on them.
Although I have a big stash of 3" disks, there's only a finite collection.

If there's space issues (i.e. can't have two C64's) I can bring my MMC Replay with me so you can have that running?

Your OK there mug! If the MMC Replay was more than 5" long we would probably need a trailer for the car  :D

As to what system's to have there, not really bothered as most of them we wont have at home, so its all good.

Look forward to seeing the ST and having a go/look at the 800xl with the SD2ISO, as I'm buying an 800xl off Flicky so
will most likely buy a SD2ISO very soon (Depending on cost).
